A2 Steel - The Hand Convex Ground Blade is made from solid A-2 Tool Steel and Triple Tempered to 58 Rockwell C hardness. Along with A-2 Tool Steel making your knife extremely tough, it holds an edge well and is relatively easy to re-sharpen when it's time.
CPM 3V Steel - Built as tough as a tank this knife will serve you exceedingly well whether you use to for weekend camping, hiking in the mountains, or carry it for self defense in the military. Although not a stainless steel, 3V is highly stain resistant yet extremely tough exhibiting toughness that is multiple times as tough as the standard A2 version yet not a bear to sharpen.
S35VN Stainless Steel - the New Crucible S35VN Super Steel which has really enhanced the performance for a Stainless Steel Knife. It's Edge Holding is up there with any stainless and the added toughness by introducing Niobium to the Elemental Composition really is noticeable in how the Steel takes an edge and how it is not difficult to re-sharpen.
"Sharp Shooter" Sheath Every Bark River Knife comes with a "Sharp Shooter Sheath. The quality is excellent and you can have peace of mind that your knife is secured while you are not using it. For a nominal charge we can weather proof your sheath with a bee's wax treatment. Unlike oils, the bee's wax treatment doesn't rub off on your gear or clothing causing stains. Our treatment practically lasts forever, so you don't need to keep doing new applications every year.

Standard Ramp Version Options - Each Bravo 1.5 has a raised ramp where the spine of the knife meets the handle. You can use that raised ramp on as a firesteel scraper, or to get more leverage for the task at hand.

Field version - The Field version has no raised ramp, but still has the jimping texture for your thumb to gain a little extra leverage while working the knife.
Blade Options - We can have these done for you at no extra charge.
Swedge Grind - The swedge grind creates a false edge toward the tip of the knife on the spine of the blade. Swedge grinds are usually for knives that are used in a tactical application. We can have this grind done to your knife at your request, just let us know.
Spear Point - The spear point is an excellent tough version of the Bravo 1.5 knife. It's a more blunt tip, and is usually seen on knives that the owner wants to capability to lash to a pole for survival spear fishing.
Specialty Handles - Bark River makes some really beautiful handles. You will see anything from standard micarta to different animal antler handles such as elk and moose to exotic wood handles such as desert ironwood.
